5 Days Uganda Adventure Tour –Jinja Bungee Jumping & Sipi Falls – Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer From Kampala to Jinja & En-route Forest Walk at Mabira Forest Reserve.

After your early morning breakfast, depart Kampala driving along Kampala- Jinja highway 80km about 1-2 hours’ drive without enroute stopovers.

The drive journey to Jinja will take you through small townships of Mukono were you can also find Ssezibwa falls one of the famous Buganda Heritage Sites where many natives flock for blessings, wealth, and fortunes.

You will have stopover at Mabira Forest to explore the only forest reserve in Uganda with over 300 bird species as well as some endangered species of over 218 butterflies, monkeys, plants and 312 trees species.

Thereafter, you will advance with the drive through Lugazi decorated with green tea, coffee and sugar plantations to Sunset Hotel in Jinja where you will have second stopover for lunch.

After lunch, you take boat ride to the mighty source of the Nile which is tranquil place, dotted with beautiful tropical pants, palm trees and magnificent eye attracting white roaring water of the mighty Nile.

As you stand on the Nile, you can hear the gurgling water, watch fishermen throwing their nets. Upon reaching the point where the source of the Nile originates, embark on taking wonderful photos for future memories; stand in the Nile while enjoying the views of different bird species including the King Fisher.

After the worthwhile experience, retreat back to the starting point and thereafter continue with the drive to Jinja town for city tour.

The tour will expose you to different Indian styled structures which were used by many Indians before they were evicted by President Idi Amin Dada.

Day 2- Early Morning and White-water Rafting on the Nile

Following an early morning breakfast in your Jinja place of stay, embark on an adventurous 44m plunge into River Nile at Nile High Bungee.

From a steel platform which soars above the cliffs which tower over the deep, fast-flowing river, you take your thrilling jump.

The view from above is scary and of course you get the jitters but it is much safer than you would think. Afterwards, retire back to the lodge for lunch and relaxation.

After lunch, embark on the day’s main adventure of white water rafting. Enjoy the most thrilling white water rafting at different grade stages.

The white water rafting begins with a comprehensive briefing and the fitting of lifejackets and helmets. The rafting is done on a 10 kilometer stretch of the Nile River.

The first few rapids are low grade (1, 2) and give clients a sense of confidence. As the river meanders through beautiful scenery, the rafts are guided into the mighty challenges of the best “grade 5” rapids on the Nile.

Eight major rapids are rafted plus lower graded runs to maximize the adrenaline rush of this adventure. Return from the activity and retire back to your lodge to relax, have dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Transfer From Jinja to Sipi falls.

After an early morning breakfast, you will depart Jinja town driving to eastern part of Uganda. The drive journey to Sipi falls will take you through small townships of Iganga, Busembatia, to Mbale town, a charming town full of rich heritage and fascinating culture.

On arrival to Sipi falls, you will drive to your lodge to check-in; relaxation and lunch .After lunch; embark on drive to the nearby Bagisu community for marvelous cultural encounter.

The encounter comes with the pride of meeting the Sipi Widows’ Group that can take you on guided walk passing through the plantations of coffee as they  illustrate how coffee is planted, picked, grinded and finally washed making it ready for sell.

Meet the Bugisu farmers are famous for producing the best washed Arabica in Uganda and Kenya. Thereafter retreat back to your lodge for dinner and Over Night.

Day 4: Hike to Sipi Falls and Transfer to Kampala

You will wake-up early, take your breakfast, and embark on a lovely hike to Sipi falls. The hike is too magnificent as you move to the bottom of the splendid three waterfalls.

You will proceed with a quick steep climb to a series of stunning caves. As you proceed to the perplexing trail to the other waterfalls, you will pass through banana plantations.

After exploring the falls, retire to your lodge for an enjoyable lunch and relaxation. In the afternoon, embark on the transfer drive from Sipi falls to Jinja town.

The drive journey of about 4-5hours will take you through Mbale town, a charming town full of rich heritage and fascinating culture.

With some beautiful view points on our way, you will reach Jinja town marvel at the splendid river and thereafter continue with the drive to Kampala.

Upon your arrival, you will drive to your pre-booked lodge to check-in, relax, have dinner and overnight.
