4 Days Queen Elizabeth Wildlife Safari Uganda – Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park And En-route Lunch in Fort Portal town
After your early morning cup of coffee, you will be picked up by our professional guide and embark on 417kms distance drive about 6-7 hours’ drive from Kampala to Queen Elizabeth National Park-Uganda’s finest wildlife safari destination.
The drive will take you through the impressive country side landscapes with rural setting and local populations. Arrive in Fort Portal town for lunch stopover.
Continue with the drive distance of 144kms to Queen Elizabeth National Park arriving late in the evening like at 6-7pm and drive to your pre-booked lodge for Diner and overnight stay.
Accommodation: Mweya Safari Lodge (Upmarket/Luxury), Enganzi Lodge (Midrange/Standard) or Pumba Safari Cottages (Budget/Basic).
Day 2: Do an Early Morning Game Drive & Afternoon Boat Cruise Along The Kazinga Channel.
After a relaxed breakfast, embark on the transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park 157km about 3 hours’ drive excluding stops en route.
You will make a stop at Rwenzori Art foundation – the only bronze casting center in Africa in the shadows of Rwenzori Mountains.
The process of sculpture making of which you will be free to participate in will be rewarding. The extension to visit the Ruboni community wax and craft center expose you the local traditions and the applicability of indigenous knowledge to contemporary development.
Continue to the Queen Elizabeth National Park, drive through the crater are with possible views of the olive baboons and elephants not forgetting magical sceneries before connecting to Mweya for an afternoon Kazinga Channel boat cruise which will offer you possibilities of encountering Hippos, Nile crocodiles , wild game drinking on the channel side and counts of water birds. Retire in the evening for relaxation, dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Early Morning Chimpanzee Trekking and Afternoon Ishasha Game Drive
After taking an early morning breakfast, embark on an interesting early morning chimpanzee trekking in the Kyambura gorge that starts from 8:00am .
The Kyambura Gorge Chimp experience is more than exploring chimpanzees in their natural environment, the activity stretches an extra mile to teach you about the ecosystems of Kyambura Gorge’s atmospheric “underground” rain forest, including vegetation types; bird identification and behavior; and chimp and monkey ecology.
While at the site, you stand a pretty good chance of hearing and seeing our distant cousins-Chimpanzees as they are habituated. The activity which lasts between 2-3 hours is very rewarding with even an extra view of other primate species like the black and white colobus monkeys, the olive baboons.
After the activity, you will connect to Ishasha sector still in Queen Elizabeth National Park. On arrival to Ishasha sector, you will have your lunch and participate in an afternoon game drive through the tracks of Ishasha sector.
The game drive will give you the possibilities of encountering tree climbing lions that tend to lie on the branches of fig trees while keeping a close eye on herds of Uganda kob.
You may also see other wildlife species like buffaloes, elephants. After game drive in Ishasha, continue with the drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park in Mweya peninsular.

Day 4: Transfer From Queen Elizabeth National Park to Kampala And En-route Traditional Lunch at Igongo Cultural Centre.
After taking breakfast like at 8:00am, embark on transfer drive from Queen Elizabeth National Park to Kampala Capital City.
The drive will take you through the impressive country side landscapes with rural setting and local populations.
Upon your arrival at Igongo Cultural Centre, you will have your lunch and take 30 minutes tour around Cultural Museum found in the Centre.
Thereafter, continue with the drive to Kampala. On your way, you will by-pass Mpigi village, famous for the Royal Drums Makers and have stop over at the Uganda Equator crossing Kayabwe, where you will enjoy delightful water experiment, take photos and shop for a souvenir.
You will arrive to Kampala late in the evening approximate at 7-8pm and the driver guide will drive you back to your Kampala hotel for dinner and overnight or to Entebbe International Airport for your scheduled flight back home.
End of The 4 days Uganda Wildlife Safari.
