Day 1: Drive From Kigali to Congo’s Virunga National Park

After breakfast at your place of stay in Kigali, you embark on the drive to Congo’s Virunga National Park north west of Rwanda.

You drive through impressive landscapes marked by beautiful hills before approaching the sandy beaches of Gisenyi on Lake Kivu – one of the Africa’s largest lakes.

You settle for lunch after which you cross to Congo connecting to the lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight

Day 2: Do Mountain Gorilla Trekking in Virunga National Park & Relax

You gather at the gorilla trekking start point for briefing and eventual set off to the Mountain Gorillas.

In the company of the armed ranger guides, you traverse the dense jungle of Congo, hiking through the challenging slopes of Virunga Volcanoes as you long to see the Mountain Gorillas – the members of Great Ape Species and known to be critically endangered world over.

You have one full hour with these magical creatures viewing them as they forage and socialize while listening to the themed interpretation from the guides. You retreat from the activity and connect back to the lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight
