The three days gorilla trekking Tour will start and end in Kigali-the Capital City of Rwanda- the land of thousand hills.
Early in the morning, you will be picked up by our experienced driver guide and embark on an interesting Kigali City tour.
The city tour will take you through Gisozi genocide memorial center where you will have time to listen to the comprehensive history of Rwanda during the 1994 genocide and the events of the massacres, including personal accounts.
You will view the Photographs, video clips, and artifacts of the genocide. After lunch in Kigali, you will embark on transfer to Bukima/Goma via Gisenyi 4hrs drive to Goma plus 2hrs to Bukima.
On arrival to Gisenyi/Goma you will be received by our guide who will help you process your Congo visa after which you will switch cars and drive to Goma -10 minutes drive/ Bukima-2 hrs drive. you will drive to your lodge to check-in , have dinner and overnight.

After an early morning breakfast and receiving your packed lunch and enough water, you will embark on 45 km kilometers-2hrs drive from Ihusi Hotel in Goma, 1 hrs drive 30 km from Mikeno Lodge and 5 min walk from Bukima Tented Camp to the Virunga national park headquarters on bumpy roads.
On arrival to the park headquarters, you will join other trekkers for an early morning briefing at 7:30am-8:00am from the Park rangers about the rules to follow when trekking gorillas in Virunga National Park.
After briefing, you will head to Bakima Patrol Post where the gorilla trekking activities start. The park rangers will lead you into gorilla trekking trails to start searching for the mountain gorillas.
After 1-3 hours of trek depending on the movement of the mountain Gorillas in Virunga National Park, you will come closer to the apes.
Once up close to the mountain Gorillas, you will be required to wear surgical masks that are provided to you when encountering the gorillas in their natural habitat of Virunga National Park.
You will be allowed to spend one hour with the mountain gorillas and during this time you can decide to sit down watch gorillas carry on with their daily activities of feeding, caring for young ones.
You will remain close to the beautiful apes while observing them, photographing and immediately after one hour, you will retire to the starting point and thereafter, embark on drive back to the lodge for lunch and relaxation.
After a relaxed breakfast you will embark on transfer drive back to Kigali Capital City. The drive distance of 147km to Kigali will not be bore you because you will traverse through beautiful hilly landscapes bearing green tea plantations, by-passing beautiful local Rwandan People when they are heading for their daily activities.
On arrival to Kigali, you will have your lunch and take visit to some nearby craft shops to buy some crafts and thereafter, the driver guide will drive you to Kanombe airport for your scheduled flight back home.
